Introduction

The selected event to be hosted in London is Chelsea Flower Show. The garden show is held for five days in the month of May by the Royal Horticultural Society in Royal Hospital Chelsea, London. This show is attended by family members of the British Royal Society. Some of the major highlights of the show include avant-garde show gardens and small gardens. This has been taking place since 1913 and was cancelled during the two World Wars (Minelle, 2020). In this study, the role of festivals and events in the United Kingdom will be examined besides conducting an external environmental analysis of the selected event. Finally, some recommendations to event organisers will be provided based on the analysis.
